Smulders Café

The Smulders Café was a magical evening that our colleagues will not forget easily.

On Tuesday 2 April, Filip Van Beurden took them through the magic of the magician and critical thinking. This fascinating lecture highlighted different aspects of critical thinking.

Filip showed how our senses sometimes fool us and how we deal with them. He also illustrated why we sometimes rely too much on our intuition, even when it lets us down. And he taught us much more!

These aspects were paired with some magic tricks and illustrations in a unique way, giving our colleagues insights into deceptions they might not otherwise notice. The thin line between fact and fiction was thoroughly discussed.

After the lecture, there was time to socialise with snacks and drinks. It was an evening full of surprise and new insights!
