Successful Welding Skills Bootcamp in Newcastle
Last November, our Newcastle facility partnered with the Energy Academy at Newcastle College to launch a dedicated welding skills bootcamp. Together, we set out to identify motivated candidates eager to build a career in welding, ultimately selecting twelve students to take part in the programme.
Over the course of six intensive weeks, the participants completed a training programme tailored to our needs. Our Welding Coordinator, Jay Patton, closely monitored the candidates’ training period.
Following the bootcamp, a second round involving site visits and welding tests was held for five selected candidates. All five successfully passed the assessments and started their careers as Trainee Welders in Newcastle this January.
