 Your tasks

Smulders is active in several countries and continues to grow rapidly. To support this growth sustainably, we are looking for an International Mobility & Reward Specialist who will help shape our international mobility strategy and further develop a solid, transparent reward policy.

In this role, you work closely with our HR Director and the various HR teams across the Smulders Group. You start from a strong foundation, yet you’ll have plenty of room to improve, harmonise and optimise processes — and truly make an impact.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives on complexity, variety and international collaboration. Less so for those who prefer to work on autopilot.

You will focus on two main domains: International Mobility and Reward.

International Mobility

You are the key point of contact for international employment across Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, France and Poland.
Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice on secondment and multi‑country employment.
  • Preparing and following up on secondment agreements and addenda.
  • Managing A1, Limosa, Posted Workers, Sipsi and other mandatory registrations and notifications.
  • Coordinating international payroll, social security and taxation processes.
  • Monitoring visa, work permit and Single Permit applications.
  • Liaising with external payroll partners and advisory firms.
  • Supporting local HR teams and guiding employees on international assignments.
  • Optimising the mobility framework with a clear focus on cost, compliance and efficiency.

Compensation & Reward

You strengthen our reward framework and contribute to building transparent, market‑aligned and maintainable systems.
Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing and updating compensation policies, job architecture and job grading.
  • Harmonising reward processes across different countries.
  • Creating competitive and consistent salary structures.
  • Conducting benchmarking, market analyses and pay‑equity evaluations.
  • Preparing and supporting salary review and bonus cycles.
  • Providing clear reporting based on reward data.
  • Advising on reward‑related topics within social dialogue.

Your magic skills

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Law, HR, Business or Finance.
  • Familiar with international taxation, social law and cross‑border compensation.
  • Experience with job grading, reward analytics and salary structures.
  • Comfortable working in an international context with diverse regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical mindset, detail‑oriented and solution‑driven.
