 Your tasks 

  • You’re responsible for specific welding activities across several projects. You report to the Technology Manager.
  • You prepare the welding plan for each project in line with the contract documents.
  • You check subcontractors’ welding plans.
  • You’re jointly responsible for implementation of the standard welding plan for the organisation – that’s a plan tailored to the production process at the various Smulders sites.
  • You organise welding procedure qualifications where needed.
  • You’re the first port of call for customer’s welding queries.

Your magic skills 

  • You’re a qualified welding engineer (IWE/EWE).
  • You should have at least 5 years of experience working with welding technologies.
  • You focus on cost efficiency.
  • You understand what goes into writing reports and drafting documentation (primarily in English).
  • You’re able to communicate fluently, politely and appropriately in Dutch or English.
