Your tasks
As a welder, you will be tasked with welding large, complex steel structures, such as foundations for wind turbines or substations. Specifically:
- You weld using a semi-automatic welding machine.
- You weld fillet welds and full penetration welds in single and multiple layers with filled/solid wire.
- You weld assembled structural components according to the welding specifications (WPS) and the predetermined welding sequence.
- You master the parameters of the welding machines.
- You weld pieces, taking into account deformations and shrinkage.
- You preheat your welding pieces to the correct temperature.
- As a welder, you always consider the safety regulations.
Your magic skills
- You have experience with semi-automatic welding: HLO-45°.
- You can weld in various positions.
- You have technical insight and understand welding specifications.
- You have sufficient knowledge to set the parameters.
- You can be flexible and take initiative.
- You prioritize safety. You are driven and able to work independently.
- You are willing to undergo (paid) training and obtain any necessary certificates through the employer, such as a VCA certificate.
