Your tasks
As an HSE Officer, you report to the HSE Manager and work closely with management to ensure a safe working environment. The team currently consists of three colleagues who together are responsible for safety aspects within Smulders Projects Netherlands. Your most important tasks include:

Advising and informing employees about safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Conducting inspections and risk analyses on-site to identify potential hazards.

Developing proposals to reduce risks and promote a safe working environment.

Supporting accident investigations to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.

Recommending preventive measures to avoid workplace accidents.

Delivering training within your area of responsibility.

Checking certificates, ensuring compliance with PPE, work permits, and performing inspections.


Your magic skills

You have an MBO+/HBO level of education and thinking skills.

You hold a diploma as an Operational Safety Specialist or an equivalent qualification.

You have knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations.

You have some experience guiding employees on workplace safety.

You have a good command of Dutch and English (written and spoken).

You are familiar with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
